You don’t have to take your clothes off to have a good time…but it helps.
We all celebrate Pride in different ways, which is why SAP Productions offers something for everyone during HK Pride.
Stripped is a brand new non-pretentious LGBTQ lifestyle event that launches November 12th to be held in a private warehouse arts space XXX situated in Tai Kok Tsui.
Stripped offers a new perspective to the way we party in Hong Kong by fusing film, fashion and underground music ranging from Studio 54 disco to Nu Disco, Italo, Cosmic Funk and House with a twist of flamboyant techno supplied by Paris born Albane, San Fran’s Steve Mak and UK’s Disco Dirtbox all topped with a serving of sophisticated sleaze.
To kick off the new season of Stripped we are very proud to announce that we will be screening the Hong Kong premier of Dressed as a Girl frockumentary from 9pm followed by a live link to a Q&A session with the two London based film makers Colin Rothbart and Chris Amos.
Dressed as a girl follows London’s alternative East End drag phenomenon gets its moment in this fabulous account of six years in the lives of its most celebrated performers. See Jonny Woo, John Sizzle, Holestar, Scottee, Amber, Pia and Ma Butcher dazzle, surprise and outrage audiences with their antics
on-stage and behind the scenes.
Following in the tradition of Paris Is Burning and The Cockettes, Dressed as a Girl paints a compelling London portrait that pulls audiences beyond the performances into a mesmerising and previously inaccessible underworld.
There is enough eye make-up and sequins on display to sink a battleship but at the heart of this surprisingly intimate portrait is the dark side of their lives.
The relentless quest for glamorous originality often comes at a personal cost. The film is both a record of a fascinating style of hyper-costumed performance and an insight into the fragile personal lives of these artists.
This is truly the frockumentary of the year.

French artist Albane’s love for music started from a young age where she learned her craft playing the violin, drums and guitar.
With the explosion of the rave and underground techno scene, Albane became hooked.
Over 20 years of clubbing she felt it was time to dig deeper into the understanding and production of electronic music by applying her musical talents to computer based music production.
Now based in Hong Kong, Albane met some great DJ friends and has had the chance to travel with them in US to see them performing at the WMC in Miami in 2013.
Once back from the trip she immediatly bought her first pair of technics turntables, and born was her DJing journey.
Albane always create the perfect set around her environment and the energy of the people that she is presented with.
Albane boast of a diverse quality by blending deep emotional melodies alongside Deep House, House, Nu-Disco, Nu-Soul, Tech House and Techno.
DJ Steve Mak is not your usual party music DJ. If you are looking for something different than the usual House, Tech or Hip Hop commercial music, look no further.

Recently relocated back to HK. Reinvited a new gig: BENT DISCO. Played at the W, Linq, Basement, Backroom, Oosh and the Secret Island Festival.
Although Bent Disco has a queer undertone, Steve stressed that it is open for everyone and welcome all kinds of sexuality. As long as they are into quality music and want to have fun in a friendly, no attitude vibe.
Disco Dirtbox (DD) is a DJ / Producer where old and nu generations can connect through his sound. Disco Dirtbox’s electronic production includes brilliant melodies taken from mood and feel of the time that directs emotional engagement through expressionism.

Excited feat Natasha Stark taken from the EP featured on ‘Dressed as Girl’ a film about East London’s alternative drag scene.
Technically, Disco Dirtbox is a physical DJ and works with what he is presented with to create the perfect soundtrack.
XXX recently moved into this amazing and unique warehouse in Western HK Island.
The new XXX is this little industrial enclave surrounded by hyper-urbanity, only a couple of stops away from Hong Kong Station. It’s really close, but it feels far bringing us that little bit closer to real Hong Kong culture.
XXX is also fitted with a fantastic surround soundsystem that was built and installed around the dynamics of warehouse’ stylish and modern stripped back architecture.
